1) The Calendar

This is the foundation. The base of the pyramid. Where the 2026 Elite season takes shape.

For 2026, the Spartan Sport calendar spans 30 countries, creating the most globally connected competitive structure we’ve ever built.

What does the 2026 calendar include?

  • 24 National Series, Regional Series, or National Championships

  • 4 Regional Championships

  • 9 Spartan World Championships

  • 30 Countries in the world to visit

What is the difference between a National Series, a Regional Series, and a National Championship?

A National Series is a series of multiple races within a single country Example: Italy National Series

A Regional Series is a series of multiple races across more than one country Example: Germany–Austria Series, CEU Series, Adriatic Series

A National Championship is a single championship race within one country Example: Panama National Championship, Netherlands National Championship

Who is eligible to win, podium, and earn prize money?

All National/Regional Series, National Championships and World Championships are open competitions. Any Elite athlete can win, podium, and earn prize money—regardless of citizenship.

Regional Championships (APAC, European, LATAM, and North American Championships) are the only events to require official proof of citizenship from the relevant region to be eligible for:

  • Podium placement

  • Prize money

Is a qualification required to race in the Championships?

Yes. Elite Championship races do require qualification. All eligibility criteria and qualification pathways are detailed in the SPORT FAQ

Where can I find full rules and technical details?

The SPORT FAQ includes everything you need:

  • National Series rules

  • Points systems

  • Qualification requirements

Know the structure. Choose your battles. Build your season.

2) Prize Money

What is the Prize Money structure for the 2026 season? The full 2026 Prize Money breakdown is outlined in the table below. This structure applies across the Elite calendar and reflects our commitment to rewarding top-level performance consistently and transparently.

NATIONAL SERIES

National/Regional Series and National Championship Prize Money will be communicated directly by each market. This is what is confirmed at the moment:

REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Is the announced Prize Money the amount I will receive? The announced prize money reflects the gross amount paid by Spartan in USD.

In line with local tax regulations, withholding taxes may be deducted before payment. These rates vary by country and are applied according to local law.

Any additional personal or local income tax obligations remain the responsibility of the athlete.

How do I receive my Prize Money? To get your prize money, you will have to complete the Prize Money Form:

  • On site at the event, or

  • After your race

We’ll review your details before processing payment in line with our internal cycles.

Providing incomplete or incorrect information, or not following the process, may cause delays—so filling out the form fully and accurately helps everything run smoothly.

This process is in place to make sure:

  • Payments are handled correctly

  • Procedures are consistent across events

  • Expectations are clear for all Elite athletes

3)  Athletes benefits at Championship events

What accommodation benefits are available?

  • Clothing from competitor races or events (Trail, Triathlon, Hyrox, etc.)

  • Brands that are prohibited by local law or may be considered culturally inappropriate (e.g., alcohol brands in France, pork-related products in Abu Dhabi)
