Early Morning: Wake Up With Joe
Good morning, Spartans! Spartan founder and CEO Joe De Sena kicked today off with a potpourri of fitness and motivational goodies: 30 burpees (as per every day), 10 rounds of marine push-ups, 10 Spartan principles from The Spartan Way, and stretches for flexibility and mobility. Wake up, Spartans!
Mid-Morning Training: Intervals for Grip Strength
Spartan world champion Robert Killian welcomed us into his home for a 15-minute interval training, designed to improve your grip strength. The workout consists of five exercises (crush grip, push-ups, dead hang, air chair, farmer's carry lunge). Do each for one minute and perform three rounds. If it's good enough for the world champ, it's good enough for you.
Afternoon: Get Your Kids Moving
It's Day 8 of Spartan Kids Base Camp with three-time NCAA All-American wrestler and 2008 Olympian Andy Hrovat. Check the Unbreakable archives for more Base Camp trainings, and tune into Spartan Facebook at 3 p.m. daily for new workouts for your kids.
