Cargo Net Training: 5 Basic Workouts That Will Take You Up and Over

To beat the Cargo Net, you need to pull your bodyweight up and over an extremely tall a-frame, supported only by a loose weave of netting, and then get yourself safely down the other side.  It's harder than you think. Especially if you get a little shaky when high off the ground.

We are going to keep it simple this week, so there are no excuses for your preparation as long as you try to these workouts. This week of training is Spartan at it's core. No frills. No fancy gizmos. Just straight bodyweight and pancake training to get you up and over that Cargo Net (or any similar climbing obstacle). Do you have what it takes?

DAY 1 (FEB 25)

Always start your workouts with a warm-up and finish them with some mobility stretches. These 5-10 minutes are vital to your overall health and performance.

3 Rounds

Rest 2 minutes, then repeat.

DAY 2 (FEB 26)

Core and legs, Spartans. You need to get them rock solid for control on the Cargo Net. Stability will be key. This workout will help you with develop this. 

2 Mile Run

Followed by 3 rounds of: 15/leg Stationary Lunges 15/leg Lateral Lunges 15 Hanging Leg Raises 15 Hip Thrusts 15/leg Step Up

DAY 3 (FEB 27)

Rest Day

DAY 4 (FEB 28)

3 Rounds

  • 40 Squats
  • 30 Lunges
  • 30 Second Wall Sit
  • 100 Jumping Jacks
  • 30 Second Wall Sit
  • 50 Switch Kicks
  • 40 Squats

Repeat 3x

DAY 5 (MAR 1)

EMOM- Every minute on the minute

Repeat 5x for Sprint Repeat 7x for Super Repeat 10x for Beast Repeat 15x for Ultra

DAY 6 (March 2)

Rest Before Your Test!
