Jacksonville - Palm Coast Super and Sprint Weekend

We’ve tested out the terrain at Florida Cracker Ranch (FCR), and we can now say with some certainty that hell is not made of ice or lakes of burning sulphur—it’s made out of mud. There are no hills here—it’s Florida—but don’t think that this course will show you Southern hospitality: what FCR lacks in elevation it makes up for in sticky, soul-crushing, shoe-stealing swamp. You might not personally identify as a Cowboy, but after you survive the onslaught of obstacles we’ve planned for this Reebok Spartan Super and Sprint, you’ll discover that, deep down, you have the same tough, gritty center and rugged, unstoppable spirit as the best of them. Join us for the chance to redefine “demanding,” battle your swamp demons, and do what you thought was impossible. 8 GREAT THINGS TO DO ON THIS SIDE OF FLORIDA: 1. After laying your swamp demons to rest, visit two of Florida’s cultural and commercial hubs: See Jacksonville 90 minutes to the north by car, or Orlando an hour southwest. 2. Want to eat well? Jacksonville has you covered. 3. Give your quads and glutes some downtime on a restorative walk through the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens. See art, and relax in the blissful shade of massive oaks trees. 4. Pound out a few hundred burpees at the Magic Kingdom, just one hour away from the race venue. (It’s a small world, after all.) Show those cartoon characters what it means to change your frame of reference. 5. Take your beastly post-race appetite at any of numerous healthy restaurants in Orlando: choose from countless vegetarian selections at Dandelion Communitea Café, enjoy high-class Italian at Itta Bena, or refuel with fresh juice at Skyebird. 6. Appalled by the idea of civilization? Take an extended hike in Ocala National Forest, home to several warm natural springs and a vast network of scenic trails. (Do not feed the alligators.) 7. Drive just 20 minutes from the race venue to the quirky, retro, and underrated small town of Flagler Beach. The pristine sand, tinted orange with crushed coquina shells, stretches for six miles. (If you’re lucky, you might see some right whales, which makes a special trip to the east coast of Florida starting each year in December.) 8. Still in town on Monday? Hear one of the nation’s most prolific—and hilarious—storytellers, Garrison Keillor, at the Florida Theatre in Jacksonville.

The Sprint may be our shortest distance race, but it’s still a favorite among both new and returning racers. It’s the perfect distance for those looking to start their Spartan journey. The Sprint also allows returning racers a manageable distance to see how far they can push themselves. Delivering 20-23 obstacles over 3-5 miles, you'll never run the same race twice. Once you complete the sprint you are 1/3 on your Spartan TRIFECTA: The ultimate Spartan achievement.

There’s nothing mediocre about this middle distance race. The Spartan Super offers the ideal blend between distance and speed. Offering racers a true athletic test. If you consider yourself a more seasoned athlete determined to push beyond excuses, you just might have the mettle for a Spartan Super. Serving up 24-29 Spartan Obstacles and 8-10 miles of rugged terrain, the Spartan Super spares no one. Developed as the second race in the Spartan Trifecta, the Super is where you prove to yourself you’ve got everything it takes to face the Beast.

Callout your friends, co-workers and loved ones to get off the couch and into the mud.

Whether they’re helping you over the wall or chasing you up the mountain, make sure they’re with you at the starting line.

Teams can be any size but must have at least 4 members to be included in the team rankings.

The best way to ensure that you are starting at the exact same start time as your friends is to create a Team during registration (or have your friends Join your team!).

Any racers that are registered as part of a team, on the SAME DAY in the SAME TIME BLOCK (Elite vs. Competitive vs. Morning vs. Afternoon), will be moved to the common team start time in each block when start times and bib numbers are assigned (about 10 days prior to the event). Racers that are registered for Sunday will not be moved to Saturday with a team, or vice versa.

Team times are NOT determined by the captains start time. Team members will be grouped together within each block (Elite, Competitive, Morning OR Afternoon), based on the preferred time that the majority of team members in that block choose.

Racers that are registered for Elite or Morning start times will NOT be grouped with racers in the Afternoon start times or vice versa.

Getting all your friends registered and lined up together on race day can be tricky. Avoid any confusion by checking out: 2016: Team Registration and Start Times.

Bring your friends and family to the race to watch you conquer obstacles, dominate the finish line and receive your medal!

Racers, your fans will motivate you over the wall and past the finish line. You wouldn’t believe how far a cheering section will go when you’re exhausted. Your fans will also enjoy music, raffles, entertainment, and festival challenges.

Most importantly, fans will receive a front row seat to watch racers from a safe, comfortable, and relatively mud-less (no promises) Spartan Race festival ground area! And, when it’s over, they receive muddy hugs from thrilled Spartan athletes. After all, what’s a sport without fans?

Cost: $20 Online until Friday prior to the Event. $25 on site (Cash Only).

As a Spartan Race spectator, you’ll get: $5 Spartan bucks redeemable at the merchandise tent, access to view multiple key obstacles on the course, finish line viewing, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds!
