The Future of School Sports has Arrived!

Introducing DEKA YOUTH powered by EXCLSR. A revolutionary team-based fitness challenge designed to supercharge sports and physical education in schools. Schools can join in on the action as we take DEKA YOUTH to the iconic Derby Arena this September, offering a dedicated day just to young athletes.

This is more than just a race. It’s a functional fitness "decathlon" engineered to be universally accessible, objectively measurable, and, above all else, fun for every young person.

DEKA YOUTH re-conceptualises the elite race-day experience for young athletes aged 14–18. Backed by the expertise and technology of EXCLSR, whether you’re a first-timer or a sports enthusiast, this inclusive format is built to foster resilience, confidence, and lifelong well-being.

In every race teams of two will take on the 10 DEKA Zones, including rowing, lunges, and sled pushes connected by 160m intervals. While the first and last laps are run together, teams can work together to split the workload in the zones to play to their strengths.

The DEKA Challenge:

Every DEKA FIT competitor will complete the following sequence. Each zone is preceded by a 160m run, totalling 1 mile of running across the entire course.

20 x Box Jump / Step Over
25 x Med Ball Sit-Up Throw
500m Ski Erg
100m Farmer’s Carry
25 Cal Air Bike
20 x Dead Ball Wall Over
100m Tank Push / Pull
20 x RAM Burpees
