SPARTAN Storm Pack
Spartan
This endurance pack is designed and tested by SPARTAN Extreme Endurance Krypteia. Constructed using techniques that produce the finest and most rugged military gear, this is the pack you want for your next SPARTAN Endurance Race.
- Military grade Buckles and webbing
- Athletically shaped pack body (wider at the top and narrower at the bottom) keeps arms and elbows from rubbing on pack body while running and places the most space for weight near the top and in between shoulder blades for better carry
- Water hydration port at top allows left or right exit
- Water drain at bottom of the pack allows water to escape
- Removable hip belt WITH side pockets to access items on the go
- Plate holder does not extend all the way to the bottom of the pack - better centering the weight up high where it should be carried and weight plate straps keep it in place when doing burpees, bear crawl or plank.
- No Molle straps on outside to snag on barbed wire or branches
- Top AND bottom carry handles so pack can be used in versatile ways
- When accessing pack with bag still on one shoulder the pocket orients itself horizontally keeping all your items inside while you reach for them
- Robust Hip belt has handy side pockets for items needed on the go
- Hydration pouch (provided) clips in behind the weight plate sleeve to keep your bladder from ever getting pinched between the plate and your back and can be removed if not needed. The pouch itself can serve as a sand bag as well
- Side compression straps can also serve as side handles
- Full 180 degree zipper to main compartment makes an easy access panel loading pack
- Patch receiver to proudly display your best patch
- 500D Cordura Construction
- Approximate dimensions: 23 in x 13.5 in x 6.5 in
- 24L capacity
- Color: Green / Black
I’ll preface this by saying I’m 5’2”. But this pack Is wayyyyyy too big and there’s no way to make it sit on my hips instead of my rear end. When properly rested on my shoulders, the base of the pack hits almost to my legs. It’s absolutely awful. My fiancé is 6’ and it sat low on him, as well; just under his hip.
Also, they claim that the hip belt is removable; it hardly is. I can’t see being able to remove it without inadvertently ripping it.
The space for putting your weight isn’t very secure, either. It says it secures down so you can do burpees. Nope. I used an actual ruck plate instead of a bumper plate and I still wouldn’t say it’s secure.
Also, just be advised- when it says it comes with a hydration pouch, they mean a literal pouch for your own hydration bladder. Bladder not included. That could be my error in interpreting the description but my fiancé thought the same thing when he almost purchased it.
