awesome grip, drain very well only thing the shoe runs small so go half to a full size up
Definitely order half a size up from your normal size. Wrote a previous review and said they were ok if you ordered your normal size but had to correct myself to avoid other people from making a mistake in taking my previous advise. Walking in these is uncomfortable but running feels good. I guess that's how they were intended to be.
Bought these w/o reading the other reviews that suggest a half size up than normal. Yes, my toes touch/almost touch the front of the shoe when standing or wiggling my toes around but when running on dirt/rocks I don't notice my toes bunching up or feel any discomfort at all. Can't say if ordering a half size up would have made a difference in comfort but I'm sure they would feel better when walking.
As for performance they are really great at running up hill. You feel sure footed on uneven surfaces like jagged rocks and large tree roots. You feel better running with these instead of walking. They are very breathable, so running in temps under 30 degrees fahrenheit isn't a good idea.
Looking forward to putting these through my first Spartan race. The North Face Ultra 110 did a good job in Tough Mudder, but I feel these are better equipped for these types of endeavors.
