COLORADO SPRINT

Welcome to Fort Carson Army Base. This course is as challenging and inspiring as it gets -- you’re at high-elevation and you’re surrounded by Spartans on a military base. This is an experience you’ll be sure to appreciate long after you conquer the course. You’ll be tested against tough obstacles and of course, you’ll do your burpees to earn your finisher medal on the same terrain and crucibles that have continued to test this country’s finest servicemen and servicewomen. TOP REASONS TO TAKE ON THIS COURSE 1. Spartan Race with a military twist; it only seems fitting to host Special Ops variations of Spartan race distances on military bases where overcoming obstacles is part of their job to fight for our freedom. 2. You’re surrounded by the Rocky Mountains; combine that with the unique Military obstacles and medals, you’re gonna look and feel like a complete badass. 3. Visit a military base, see heavy artillery, interact with some American heroes. 4. You’re in Colorado, every which way you look there are bountiful trails, mountains, and all types of outdoor activities. Take your pick, explore, and make it an adventure. 5. Red Rocks Amphitheater is a must visit. The way the Red Rock Formations jut out of the earth; it’s all very primal and what can be described as “jurassic.”

COLORADO SPRINT

The Sprint may be our shortest distance race, but it’s still a favorite among both new and returning racers. It’s the perfect distance for those looking to start their Spartan journey. The Sprint also allows returning racers a manageable distance to see how far they can push themselves. Delivering 20-23 obstacles over 3-5 miles, you'll never run the same race twice. Once you complete the sprint you are 1/3 on your Spartan TRIFECTA: The ultimate Spartan achievement.

The best way to ensure that you are starting at the exact same start time as your friends is to create a Team during registration (or have your friends Join your team!).

Any racers that are registered as part of a team, on the SAME DAY in the SAME TIME BLOCK (Elite vs. Morning vs. Afternoon), will be moved to the common team start time in each block when start times and bib numbers are assigned (about 10 days prior to the event). Racers that are registered for Sunday will not be moved to Saturday with a team, or vice versa.

Team times are NOT determined by the captains start time. Team members will be grouped together within each block (Elite, Morning OR Afternoon), based on the preferred time that the majority of team members in that block choose.

Racers that are registered for Elite or Morning start times will NOT be grouped with racers in the Afternoon start times or vice versa.

For more detailed team information please see 2015: Team Registration and Start Times.

Bring your friends and family to the race to watch you conquer obstacles, dominate the finish line and receive your medal!

Racers, your fans will motivate you over the wall and past the finish line. You wouldn't believe how far a cheering section will go when you’re exhausted. Your fans will also enjoy music, raffles, entertainment, and festival challenges.

Most importantly, fans will receive a front row seat to watch racers from a safe, comfortable, and relatively mud-less (no promises) Spartan Race festival ground area! And, when it’s over, they receive muddy hugs from thrilled Spartan athletes.

Cost: $20 Online until Friday prior to the Event. $25 on site (Cash Only).

As a Spartan Race spectator, you’ll get: $5 Spartan bucks redeemable at the merchandise tent, a festival map, and access to multiple key obstacles on the course, finish line viewing, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds!

For detailed spectator information, please see: The Spartan Race Spectator Guide.

All volunteers will get a free race, free lunch and drinks, free parking, free festival entry, and a volunteer T-shirt! You can choose to volunteer for a half day or even a full day. Without volunteers, Spartan Race cannot put on such spectacular events! We need you!
