2018 Sao Paulo Sprint (Child)

The Sprint may be our shortest distance race, but it’s still a favorite among both new and returning racers. It’s the perfect distance for those looking to start their Spartan journey. The Sprint also allows returning racers a manageable distance to see how far they can push themselves. Delivering 20-23 obstacles over 3-5 miles, you'll never run the same race twice. Once you complete the sprint you are 1/3 on your Spartan TRIFECTA: The ultimate Spartan achievement.

Spartan Race Retorna ao Brasil em 2018

Be part of history as seasoned Spartans and newcomers alike take on the world's greatest obstacle race in Brazil in 2018.

WHICH HEAT IS RIGHT FOR ME?

THE ELITE CATEGORY

These athletes are competing to win prize money, test themselves against the best of the best, attract potential sponsors, and rise to the top of the Spartan Race Point Series.
Elite Racers, like all Spartan athletes, commit to flawless sportsmanship and adhere strictly to the race rules and guidelines. Racers who fail to follow these guidelines risk disqualification.
If you have to ask yourself if you are elite, you probably aren’t.

NEW FOR 2018: THE AGE GROUP CATEGORY (FORMERLY COMPETITIVE CATEGORY)

The Age Group Category, formerly known as “Competitive” is a series of heats placed immediately after the Elite category. Age Group racers will follow the same rules and standards as the Elite racers.
Age Group heats will be officiated by on-course referees, video review, and feature an Age Group points series with exciting prizes, podium awards, and athlete rankings. Age Group Racers believe they could win or place in a given race when stacked against only the best of the best within their designated age group.

OPEN CATEGORY

The Open category is for everyone, period. Weekend warriors, novice athletes, first-time racers, and teams are all welcome here. The Open category offers the same opportunity as the Competitive and Elite categories to get far outside your comfort zone, test your body’s limits, and experience the awesome rush of the finish line. However, there’s no pressure to push your pace.
Regardless of which category you race in, all finishes will count toward the completion of a TRIFECTA or Spartan DELTA.

SPECTATORS: BRING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. (YOUR BIGGEST FANS)

Bring your friends and family to the race to watch you conquer obstacles, dominate the finish line and receive your medal!

Racers, your fans will motivate you over the wall and past the finish line. You wouldn’t believe how far a cheering section will go when you’re exhausted. Your fans will also enjoy music, raffles, entertainment, and festival challenges.

Most importantly, fans will receive a front row seat to watch racers from a safe, comfortable, and relatively mud-less (no promises) Spartan Race festival ground area! And, when it’s over, they receive muddy hugs from thrilled Spartan athletes. After all, what’s a sport without fans?

As a Spartan Race spectator, you’ll get: access to view multiple key obstacles on the course, finish line viewing, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds!

For detailed spectator information, please see: The Spartan Race Spectator Guide.

FESTIVAL AREA & PARKING

There will be a festival area from which in addition to seeing some of the obstacles, there will be an area of food, bathrooms, souvenir shop, medical area and activations of our sponsors.
