Terrain: Spartan Sprints are a great starting point to becoming a Spartan. The 7k / 20+ obstacle course is fun for everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes. It is the perfect motivation to get you and your friend’s leaner, fitter and yes…muddy! The shorter sprint presents plenty for the hard core athlete to test themselves against while giving new Spartans a good start to their Trifecta. Run, climb, jump, swing, crawl and dodge, all part of the course in a Spartan Race. 99.9% will finish, and 100% will have earned the respect due a Spartan warrior!
Avg. finish times: 1.5 hours
Fastest finish times: 40 minutes
Special gear needed: Racers should plan to bring appropriate fuel for their needs. No fuel will be provided on course, only water. Hydration packs (or water containers of some variety) are strongly suggested for all racers. Please make sure if you are in the later waves that you carry a headlamp. Many of you will end up on the course in the dark after the sunsets at 8:20pm. Come prepared! Course closes 3 hours after the last heat or at the Race Directors discretion.

Starting at 7am waves of 150 athletes will be released every 20 mins until 4pm. YOUR exact start time will be confirmed here on Wednesday 9 September.

There’s no dress code, but you’ll be running in mud and water, climbing hills and mountains, under barbed wire and jumping fire.

Why run a Spartan Race alone when there are teams to build and friends to make? Biggest Team of the race will get their own tent in the Festival Area to celebrate in.
