Nashville Sprint - Fort Campbell

Fort Campbell is located astride the Kentucky-Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Clarksville, Tennessee. It is home to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. The Army’s only Air Assault Division, its uniqueness stems from the Regiment’s ability to deploy at a moment's notice with a mobile and notoriously fast response platform. It’s the perfect place to host a military series Spartan Sprint. Here, speed and agility are matched by both Spartan prowess and military air power. Covering 164 square miles and the only military post to span two states, a “World Class Community” has formed -- welcoming all who get stationed at Fort Campbell and those who come to visit. Fort Campbell offers a variety of activities including hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and camping. Other facilities and programs include an archery range, paintball field, skeet/trap range, challenge course, dog parks, and interior parks. With the addition of signature obstacles that Spartan racers have come to know and love, Fort Campbell makes for the ideal setting to earn a Military Series medal and a piece of the highly coveted Trifecta. TOP REASONS TO TAKE ON THIS COURSE: 1. The Don F. Pratt Memorial Museum is nearby which houses military artifacts and memorabilia. Military enthusiasts: you are in for a treat. 2. Looking for something a little more relaxing? Cumberland RiverWalk is comprised of a two mile riverfront promenade, playground and picnic area, river exhibit and concert area. The city's signature Riverfront Park hosts several concerts and festivals year round. The area's scenic setting makes the park a local favorite. 3. Just north of Fort Campbell sits Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area. With 300 miles of natural shoreline, lake access provides idyllic settings for camping, picnicking, hiking, fishing, boating, wildlife viewing, and water sports. Licensed hunts for deer, turkey, squirrel and other small game animals occur throughout the year. 4. Ever had the chance to shoot zombies, visit a haunted house, and watch family friendly Halloween movies all in the same place? A short drive south from Fort Campbell will land you at Clarksville Zombie Hunters, where you can see how quickly you can escape and how true your aim is! 5. There are many other places you can go to unwind -- feel free to just find a quiet park and watch the leaves fall after enduring barbed wire, fire and muddy pits. 6. Fort Campbell also offers rock climbing, so should you wish to test your might and grip, don’t forget to chalk up!

BUILD A TEAM: STRENGTH COMES IN NUMBERS.

Callout your friends, co-workers and loved ones to get off the couch and into the mud.

Whether they’re helping you over the wall or chasing you up the mountain, make sure they’re with you at the starting line.

Teams can be any size but must have at least 4 members to be included in the team rankings.

TEAM REGISTRATION

The best way to ensure that you are starting at the exact same start time as your friends is to create a Team during registration (or have your friends Join your team!).

Any racers that are registered as part of a team, on the SAME DAY in the SAME TIME BLOCK (Elite vs. Competitive vs. Morning vs. Afternoon), will be moved to the common team start time in each block when start times are assigned (about 10 days prior to the event). Racers that are registered for Sunday will not be moved to Saturday with a team, or vice versa.

Team times are NOT determined by the captains start time. Team members will be grouped together within each block (Elite, Competitive, Morning OR Afternoon), based on the preferred time that the majority of team members in that block choose.

Racers that are registered for Elite or Morning start times will NOT be grouped with racers in the Afternoon start times or vice versa.

Getting all your friends registered and lined up together on race day can be tricky. Avoid any confusion by checking out: 2017: Team Registration and Start Times.

SPECTATORS: BRING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. (YOUR BIGGEST FANS)

Bring your friends and family to the race to watch you conquer obstacles, dominate the finish line and receive your medal!

Racers, your fans will motivate you over the wall and past the finish line. You wouldn’t believe how far a cheering section will go when you’re exhausted. Your fans will also enjoy music, raffles, entertainment, and festival challenges.

Most importantly, fans will receive a front row seat to watch racers from a safe, comfortable, and relatively mud-less (no promises) Spartan Race festival ground area! And, when it’s over, they receive muddy hugs from thrilled Spartan athletes. After all, what’s a sport without fans?

Cost: $20 Online until Friday prior to the Event. $25 on site (Cash Only).

As a Spartan Race spectator, you’ll get: $5 Spartan bucks redeemable at the merchandise tent, a festival map, access to view multiple key obstacles on the course, finish line viewing, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds!
