Seattle Super and Sprint Presented by Snohomish County

Welcome to Seattle, the heart of the Pacific Northwest. The Pacific Northwest offers a little of everything in terms of terrain: mountainous trails, rolling hills, creeks, rocky byways and trees in every direction. With so many towering trees and natural scenery as far as your eyes can see, you won’t even know you’re so close to Seattle at this venue. TOP REASONS TO TAKE ON THIS COURSE: 1. You get the experience of being outside of the city, without being too far from civilization. Explore Seattle on Sunday before heading out to SeaTac airport. 2. There is no better place to catch some “nature therapy.” You’ll see why Seattle is called the Emerald City. Breathe in the fresh air and feel invigorated by the trees and lush green vegetation in all directions. With so many hiking trails in the area, stop any local and they’ll be able to give you more options than you can handle in terms of hikes, nearby lakes, or other outdoor activities. 3. Check out Pike Place Market. This iconic farmers market attracts locals and tourists from all over. With fresh local produce and flowers, local artists, and little shops on every corner you’ll never run out of things to see and do. A short walk to the waterfront directly in front of the market is a good place to take a break and snack on some goodies from the market. 4. The Space Needle is also nearby. Rising 605 feet into the air, it is a view you won’t want to miss. Buy tickets for the observation deck, or make reservations for the SkyCity restaurant that slowly rotates at the top. While you’re there, stop by the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit at the Seattle Center near the base of the Space Needle. 5. If you aren’t a coffee aficionado when you arrive, you will be when you leave. Visit the original Starbucks located on a cobblestone street on the outskirts of Pike Place Market. Or try one of the many local coffee stands or cafes throughout the area.

SEATTLE SPRINT

SEATTLE SPRINT

The Sprint may be our shortest distance race, but it’s still a favorite amongst both new and returning racers. It’s the perfect distance for those looking to start their Spartan journey. The Sprint also allows returning racers a manageable distance to see how far they fan push themselves. Delivering 20-23 obstacles over 3-5 miles, you'll never run the same race twice. Once you complete the sprint you are 1/3 on your Spartan TRIFECTA: The ultimate Spartan achievement.

SEATTLE SUPER

SEATTLE SUPER

There’s nothing mediocre about this middle distance race. The Spartan Super offers the ideal blend between distance and speed. Offering racers a true athletic test. If you consider yourself a more seasoned athlete determined to push beyond excuses, you just might have the mettle for a Spartan Super. Serving up 24-29 Spartan Obstacles and 8-10 miles of rugged terrain, the Spartan Super spares no one. Developed as the second race in the Spartan Trifecta, the Super is where you prove to yourself you’ve got everything it takes to face the Beast.

BUILD A TEAM: STRENGTH COMES IN NUMBERS

Callout your friends, co-workers and loved ones to get off the couch and into the mud.

Whether they’re helping you over the wall or chasing you up the mountain, make sure they’re with you at the starting line.

Teams can be any size but must have at least 4 members to be included in the team rankings.

TEAM REGISTRATION

The best way to ensure that you are starting at the exact same start time as your friends is to create a Team during registration (or have your friends Join your team!).

Any racers that are registered as part of a team, on the SAME DAY in the SAME TIME BLOCK (Elite vs. Competitive vs. Morning vs. Afternoon), will be moved to the common team start time in each block when start times and bib numbers are assigned (about 10 days prior to the event). Racers that are registered for Sunday will not be moved to Saturday with a team, or vice versa.

Team times are NOT determined by the captains start time. Team members will be grouped together within each block (Elite, Competitive, Morning OR Afternoon), based on the preferred time that the majority of team members in that block choose.

Racers that are registered for Elite or Morning start times will NOT be grouped with racers in the Afternoon start times or vice versa.

Getting all your friends registered and lined up together on race day can be tricky. Avoid any confusion by checking out: 2017: Team Registration and Start Times.

SPECTATORS: BRING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. (YOUR BIGGEST FANS)

Bring your friends and family to the race to watch you conquer obstacles, dominate the finish line and receive your medal!

Racers, your fans will motivate you over the wall and past the finish line. You wouldn’t believe how far a cheering section will go when you’re exhausted. Your fans will also enjoy music, raffles, entertainment, and festival challenges.

Most importantly, fans will receive a front row seat to watch racers from a safe, comfortable, and relatively mud-less (no promises) Spartan Race festival ground area! And, when it’s over, they receive muddy hugs from thrilled Spartan athletes. After all, what’s a sport without fans?

Cost: $20 Online until Friday prior to the Event. $25 on site (Cash Only).

As a Spartan Race spectator, you’ll get: $5 Spartan bucks redeemable at the merchandise tent, access to view multiple key obstacles on the course, finish line viewing, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds!

For detailed spectator information, please see: The Spartan Race Spectator Guide

HURRICANE HEAT

Saturday Night @ 5:00pm sharp.

Show up early to run with the Spartan Staff in a whole new way!

The Hurricane Heat is a unique event, traversing on and off the Spartan Race Course. Hurricane Heat Participants will be assigned a team upon arrival and will be expected to work together to complete any and all challenges set before them, as a team. You can't finish alone.

Dominate the course like the good founders intended. There are no chips, no clock, just a fun run Spartan-style that represents what our company and our athletes are about…getting up when you’re knocked down and finishing what you start. And Burpees, lots of burpees.

Remember: You don’t want to be late.Plan to bring head lamps and glow sticks (required).

Successful finishers earn Hurricane Heat dog tags, a finisher shirt, entry into a closed networking group, and the chance to build relationships that will last well beyond the finish line.

For more information about the Hurricane Heat, check out: What is a Hurricane Heat?

HURRICANE HEAT 12 HOUR AND 24 HOUR

HH12HR - Saturday Night @ 5:00pm sharp.

HH24HR - Saturday Night @ 5:00pm sharp.

HH12HR and HH24HR are a unique individual and team-building experience designed to test each athlete's physical and mental toughness.

The HH12HR and HH24HR find a balance between team building and individualism. By utilizing tactics similar to those of the Special Operations groups of various Military Branches the most qualified Spartans will be selected. Those who are selected and are capable of getting their squadron across the elusive finish will have earned their place among the few. Only 40% of those who sign up will finish, will you be one of them?
