Indiana Sprint

We all know the times when life feels like an uphill battle. But what if you could take that feeling, chuck it at the ground, and grind it into the dust with the heel of your foot? At Spartan, we like to turn these “what ifs” into realities. Perfect North Slopes, a winter home thousands of snowboarders, skiers, and snow tubers, has become the site of our newest Spartan summer rite of passage. Fight gravity, take charge of your life, and enjoy a day of hard-earned victory. 6 GREAT THINGS TO DO AFTER SEIZING THESE SLOPES: 1. Nearby Cincinnati—just 30 minutes away by car—has an absurd number of healthy eating options to recharge your exhausted body. For starters, stop by Ingredients for a Spartan-sized salad (it’s not a side), FUSIAN for innovative build-your-own sushi, or Melt Eclectic Deli for vegan and vegetarian magic (the food disappears on your plate). 2. Take an adventure through the massive Cincinnati art museum. They say a picture is worth a thousand words...but how many burpees? 3. Learn the dark secrets of the Queen City in a revealing underground tour. 4. Balance out the explosive exertion of the race with a gentle, soothing walk through the vibrant flower gardens of the Cincinnati Botanical Gardens. 5. Change your frame of reference in the Carew Tower Observation Deck. 6. Waiting for a sign? Wait no longer. The American Sign Museum in Cincinnati has every sign you could hope to see—and many others that might test your obstacle immunity.

Indiana Sprint

The Sprint may be our shortest distance race, but it’s still a favorite amongst both new and returning racers. It’s the perfect distance for those looking to start their Spartan journey. The Sprint also allows returning racers a manageable distance to see how far they can push themselves. Delivering 20-23 obstacles over 3-5 miles, you'll never run the same race twice. Once you complete the sprint you are 1/3 on your Spartan TRIFECTA: The ultimate Spartan achievement.

The United States Customs and Border Protection Honor Guard will serve as the guardians of the colors by displaying and escorting the United States Flag during the performance of the National Anthem to start the event.

BUILD A TEAM: STRENGTH COMES IN NUMBERS.

Call out your friends, co-workers and loved ones to get off the couch and into the mud.

Whether they’re helping you over the wall or chasing you up the mountain, make sure they’re with you at the starting line.

Teams can be any size but must have at least 4 members to be included in the team rankings.

TEAM REGISTRATION

The best way to ensure that you are starting at the exact same start time as your friends is to create a Team during registration (or have your friends Join your team!).

Any racers that are registered as part of a team, on the SAME DAY in the SAME TIME BLOCK (Elite vs. Competitive vs. Morning vs. Afternoon), will be moved to the common team start time in each block when start times and bib numbers are assigned (about 10 days prior to the event). Racers that are registered for Sunday will not be moved to Saturday with a team, or vice versa.

Team times are NOT determined by the captains start time. Team members will be grouped together within each block (Elite, Competitive, Morning OR Afternoon), based on the preferred time that the majority of team members in that block choose.

Racers that are registered for Elite or Morning start times will NOT be grouped with racers in the Afternoon start times or vice versa.

Getting all your friends registered and lined up together on race day can be tricky. Avoid any confusion by checking out: 2016: Team Registration and Start Times.

SPECTATORS: BRING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. (YOUR BIGGEST FANS)

Bring your friends and family to the race to watch you conquer obstacles, dominate the finish line and receive your medal!

Racers, your fans will motivate you over the wall and past the finish line. You wouldn’t believe how far a cheering section will go when you’re exhausted. Your fans will also enjoy music, raffles, entertainment, and festival challenges.

Most importantly, fans will receive a front row seat to watch racers from a safe, comfortable, and relatively mud-less (no promises) Spartan Race festival ground area! And, when it’s over, they receive muddy hugs from thrilled Spartan athletes. After all, what’s a sport without fans?

Cost: $20 Online until Friday prior to the Event. $25 on site (Cash Only).
