very sturdy, sweat-wicking
These are thick socks that should hold up to a lot of wear and tear. I've worn them a few times working out, and they've done fine. Since they are long, they get a tad hot, but they do wick sweat pretty well though.

Pleased with these socks so far; they are thinner than other Darn Tough Socks I own but have extra padding on the sole. First use was 7 mile trail run followed by 9 miles mountain biking - they were comfortable and did not fall down all day.
