Welcome to Day 27 of the Spartan Running Training Plan.

The day is here, Spartan. Today, you are going after your 5k personal best time. Wake up and get ready to tackle this race.

Whether you’ve found a road race to dominate, or you’re running your favorite 5k route, go into this run the same way you’ve gone into every longer running workout of this program. Get your warm up in, stay confident, and run the 5k that you’ve trained yourself to do. Go get it, Spartan. Today is about you.


Running Training Plan Workout: Day 27

The Warm Up

  1. Active Mobilizations
  2. Dynamic Warm Up
  3. 10-minute Jog

The Workout

  • Complete a 5K (3.1 mile) run. Run to beat your best time.

The Cool Down

  • Foam roll any muscles you feel excessive soreness or tightness.
