Course Description: The Montana Course will be designed on-site by the founders and staff of Spartan Race and will feature a generous 12+ miles of Spartan obstacles scattered throughout. The Founders Series of events consist of no frills, old-school courses that are a great introduction to the Spartan lifestyle.
Special Gear Needed: We highly recommend that all athletes carry their own water supply in a camelback, or other type of pack.
Start Times: 8:00am
Waves of 250 athletes will be released every 15 minutes across 3 groups (Elite, Morning, Afternoon).
The Elite waves are the competitive start times, running for cash and/or prizes.
BUILD A TEAM
Strength comes in numbers.
Drag your friends off the couch and into the mud with you!
Teams can be any size. But you must have at least 4 members to be included in the team rankings.
To ensure that you are starting at the exact same start time as your friends is to create a Team during registration (or have your friends Join your team!).
Any racers that are registered as part of a team, on the SAME DAY in the SAME TIME BLOCK (Elite vs. Morning vs. Afternoon), will be moved to the common team start time in each block when start times and bib numbers are assigned.
Team times are NOT determined by the captains start time.Team times will be determined by a "majority rules" system. Team members will be grouped together, within the Elite, Morning, OR Afternoon start time block, based on the preferred time that the majority of team members chose.
Racers that are registered for Elite or Morning start times will NOT be grouped with racers in the Afternoon start times or vice versa.

We will offer free shuttle-bus service to bring racers and spectators to and from the venue.

KIDS RACE: First Heat - 10AM
Kids can now race against someone their own size, on a course their own size.
Our mission is to inspire children to develop a love for fitness at an early age. We provide safe, age appropriate obstacle course race venues to build participant confidence, while enjoying a thrilling outdoor activity. We encourage kids to jump, run, get muddy, help each other and have a good time, while conquering obstacles that mimic the adult race.
$25 online. $30 onsite. Cash only. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your child’s desired start time to check in.

A fan’s job is to motivate racers over the wall and past the finish line. Be their extra legs; their second wind. You wouldn’t believe how far a cheering squad can go for a tired racer. Get a front row seat to all the Spartan action. After all, what’s a sport without fans?
As a Spartan Race spectator, you get $5 Spartan Bucks redeemable at the merchandise tent, a festival map, and access to multiple key obstacles on the course, finish line viewing, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds! So enjoy the music and watch your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course, in the safety and comfort (and relative mudlessness) of the Spartan Race festival ground areas! Raffles, entertainment, spectator challenges, free muddy hugs from Spartan athletes, and all the other festival perks make this the best money you'll ever spend.
