Race Details


Distance: Special Ops Spartan Sprint distance will be approximately 4 miles give or take a few extra special forces surprises!

Start Times: Starting at 8am, waves of 200 athletes will be released every 15 minutes across 5 groups (Elite, Confirmed, Morning, Afternoon, Late Afternoon). YOUR exact start time in the group you registered for will be posted here a few days prior to event date.

Obstacles: This Special Ops Spartan Sprint will be a mix of mud and gnarly outdoor obstacles combined with the challenge of the signature Spartan stadium obstacles all with maneuvers and strategy created by Special Ops Forces. Each finisher will receive a unique Special Ops Spartan Sprint Medal with bragging rights of accomplishing the most unique Spartan event.

Spectators: This event is free to spectators.

Hurricane Heat: Available. Arrive Saturday morning at 5:30am, be ready to go at 6:00am SHARP. Don't be late!

Kids Race: Available. Heats starting at 10am. $25 online. $30 onsite (CASH ONLY).

Build A Team


Strength comes in numbers! Become part of a team to help yourself and others get through the event, save money, and support our troops. How does it work? Create a team or join a team! The more people on a team, the more money everyone will get back in their pocket! Each team member will receive a discount, refunded to the method of payment used, a few days prior to race day. The discount escalates as the team size increases, so get more friends to join your team and everyone saves more money! How many people are needed to make a team? Teams are unlimited with a minimum of four people! Team members are timed individually and are not required to cross the finish line together. Which team takes home the prizes? The fastest 4 times of the team will be used to calculate the team's finishing time. Prizes will be awarded to the team who finishes on top!

Hurricane Heat


The Spartan Hurricane Heat is a special opportunity that gives athletes the chance to meet and run with the Founders and staff of Spartan Race in a unique and memorable way. Usually held early Saturday morning or Friday night (Head lamps and glow sticks required!), you'll be put on a team, and you'll finish as a team. No timing chips, no clock, no bells and whistles. Successful finishers earn Hurricane Heat dog tags, a finisher shirt, a Hurricane Heat badge, entry into a closed networking group, and the chance to build relationships that will last well beyond the finish line. Start time: Arrive Saturday morning at 5:30am, be ready to go at 6:00am SHARP. Don't be late!

Spectators


This event is free to spectators! Want a front row seat to all the Spartan action? Spectator tickets are available online or you can purchase them onsite the day of - cash only. You'll receive $5 Spartan bucks redeemable at the merchandise tent, entry to the rocking festival area, a festival grounds map, access to some of the obstacles on course, not to mention the epic Gladiator pit and finish line. Enjoy the music and watch your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course in the relative safety and comfort of the Spartan Race festival grounds!

RACE SCHEDULE

Starting at 8am, waves of 250+ racers will be released every 15 minutes. You will receive an email approximately one week before the race with your race times. Make a note of this time as it tells you what heat you are running in on race day. YOUR exact start time in the group you registered for will be posted under the Race Day tab a few days prior to the events date.

ARRIVAL


Plan to arrive 1.5 hours BEFORE your designated start time to allow enough time to pick up your packet, drop your stuff at bag check, and get warmed up. If you are one of those chronically late people, tell yourself you need to be there 2 hours early. If you’re an early bird, registration opens at 6:30am on Saturday and Sunday morning.

WAIVERS AND IDs


All racers, spectators, and volunteers MUST sign a waiver (above) and show a valid photo ID upon arrival. Be sure to bring a copy of your signed waiver and hand it to one of our awesome volunteers in the registration tent. We try to have copies of waivers available, but save yourself some time, print it here and bring it with you on race day. We cannot release bibs without a signed waiver for each participant.

BIB PACKET PICKUP


Bib numbers are available the week of the race & will be posted under the Race Day tab a few days prior to the events date. On race day, make sure you know your bib number as this will be used to locate your bib packet - this will include your headband, bib, timing chip and most importantly, FREE drink ticket! 

WHAT TO BRING


Along with your ID, waiver, parking cash and knowing your bib #, bring your friends and family - or anyone else who needs proof of your badassness and obstacle course skills or someone who needs a demonstration of your mud flinging abilities. Don't forget your money for parking and fun! You should probably bring a towel and some extra clothes because your clothes will get muddy and wet, but you probably already guessed this.

NOTE: Outside food and drink WILL NOT be allowed into the venue, so make sure to leave it at home or in your car! Same with pets, no pets please.

BAG CHECK


Try and leave as much stuff as you can at home or in your car— but for the stuff you can't leave behind, or that you don't want covered in mud and water, we will have a secure place to check in your gear. Check in is $5/bag – you will get a wrist band to wear that matches the band we put on your bag so make sure you keep that safe.

WHAT TO WEAR


We said "adventure" right? Well folks let's get adventurous! There’s no dress code, per se, but you’ll be running in mud and water, climbing hills and mountains, crawling under barbed wire and jumping fire. So choose wisely my friends.

FINISHERS RECEIVE


For starters, yes, you will be getting your badge of honor, the one-of-a-kind, bragging rights of your badass finishers medal (if you want to really bling it out, have it personalized using our partner site, iTab – they can get this all set for you. You’ll also get a quality race t-shirt (yes, more bragging rights) and shortly after the event, you’ll get your own professional photo and video to prove your badassness (see Photos and Videos section for more on that)

PHOTOS & VIDEO


Professional event day photos will be posted on the event page 5-7 days after the event, FREE OF CHARGE! You don’t have to stay up all night checking the site for this – we’ll email you when your photos are ready!

Kids Race

Varsity Spartan | 1 mile
Varsity Spartan Start Times: Saturday - 10am, 12pm, and 2pm | Sunday - 10am and 12pm

Jr Varsity Spartan | 0.5 miles
Junior Varsity Spartan Start Times: Saturday - 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm | Sunday - 10:30am and 12:30pm

Spartan Race is not only limited to adult fun! Bring the kids ages 4-13 who can participate in their very own Jr. Spartan race. They will enjoy the thrill of the run, a variety of scaled down obstacles and their own mini festival area filled with games and children's challenges! Our mission is to inspire children to develop a love for fitness at an early age.

The course is about a 1?2 mile filled with junior obstacles for Jr. Varsity Spartans and 1 mile for Varsity Spartans. Each child will receive a T-shirt and Finisher's Medal with 100% of the Jr. Spartan Adventure proceeds benefiting the Kids Fit Foundation. We now have 3 start times for each distance for the Spartan Kids Race! No excuses parents, now the entire family can race!

*Kids Registration and check-in closes at 2pm on Saturday and 12pm on Sunday so please be early. To register, click the REGISTER button on the top right of this page. **Each family will receive two free spectator passes at registration.
